SagamoreHill Broadcasting and WXSL are seeking an experienced and passionate News Video Editor to join St. Louis’ first Spanish-language newscast! The position is based in St. Louis, Missouri.
Responsibilities:
- As a video editor, you will be responsible for assembling raw footage, refining video content, and ensuring a polished final product
- Edit video content that includes music, graphics, transitions and effects
- Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines, technical specifications and quality standards
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video
- Collaborate with our team to incorporate feedback and revisions into edited videos
- In collaboration with the team, you will produce long format tv shows as well as smaller segments of several minutes long
- Assist production team with studio shoots to include camera operation, running live graphics, floor directing and monitoring audio
- Maintain production timelines and ensure video assets are delivered to television stations on schedule
- Stay current with market trends in video studio production
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, television broadcasting or related field
- Newsroom Experience
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in Spanish and English
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing
- Familiar with video file formats, media file conversion and video editing
- Proven experience as a video editor or similar role in digital content creator
- This position requires a high degree of attention to detail for success
- Photography and video editing
- Creative mindset with strong storytelling and visual editing skills
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to project requirements
- Experience operating video editing equipment
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must have a valid driver’s license
